CPD for Therapists
Run by Gill Coleby, The Coleby Centre offers a series of workshops, based on Gill's 27 years experience as a psychotherapist and Stephen Johnson's book "Character Styles"
These workshops explore the 7 different character styles that can develop during the first 5 years of life - what causes these character types to develop, the injury in body, mind and spirit to the developing child. We explore the thoughts, feelings and behaviour specific to each character and what can we expect to see in adulthood, in the clients sitting in front of us. Based on development psychology, attachment theory, object relations theory and character analysis. These workshops aren't just about describing and interpreting though, as we'll also explore active methods of intervention from the different theories which can help people to change.
